Kevin Gallant and his students toured New Brunswick’s rural spaces and forests without leaving the classroom. How? Working with Bluedrop, Canada’s largest eLearning company, they developed a drone simulator program to train users before they take machines into the field. This technology could be applied in a variety of other settings including training military personnel to locate explosive devices using a simulator program for drones equipped with digging tools. This innovative research project demonstrates the potential for industry and government to leverage gaming technology to achieve their strategic business goals – and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ students have the skills and experience to make it happen!
